Current Steve, Lyndsay
& the boys.
We're a family from Milton Keynes (Steve, Lyndsay, and the three boys). Nineteen years in, seven motorhomes deep, one electric campervan in the garage, and we're still arguing about which van was the best. Spoiler: Lyndsay's usually right.

Seven motorhomes, a caravan and a campervan of our own, plus four hires over the years.
Every van, caravan, and camper the Radfords have lived in since 2007. Some bigger, some better, every one of them broken at least once.

Swift Kon-Tiki 649 Motorhome
Swift Kon-Tiki 874 Motorhome
The plan, more or less.
We bought our first motorhome in 2007, a 1989 Talbot Pilote R470 that cost £5,000 and had a fridge older than the marriage. We had absolutely no idea what we were doing. Lots of local trips with friends, Drayton Manor theme park (lovely campsite, firm favourite). That was the start of it.
From the Talbot we went sideways into a caravan for a couple of years (the 2005 Ace Jubilee Equerry) before it pulled us back. A 2007 Swift Lifestyle 630 first, then the Bessacarr E495 which did a lot of UK miles and a few European trips. Then our first A-class, the Itineo SB740, twelve thousand miles in eighteen months, brilliant van. Sold it because we needed a sixth seat belt for our niece on the 2018 Adriatic trip, and picked up the Swift Kon-Tiki 649 for exactly that reason.
The Swift Kon-Tiki 874 came next, that's the 9m tag-axle prototype we took delivery of before it went into production. Croatia, Turkey, Morocco, this van did the lot, and quite a lot of French motorway besides. In 2023 we also got the ID Buzz, converted by Knights Custom Conversions (pop-top, bamboo floor, induction hob) and drove it down to the Sahara and back. Then in March 2026 the Dethleffs XL Family arrived, and Lyndsay has already claimed the best cupboard.
We started our Roaming Radfords YouTube channel in February 2020, exactly 3 weeks before the Covid-19 pandemic was declared. The irony of starting a travel channel days before a global travel ban is not lost on us!
Eddie's the eldest, twenty now and off doing his own thing. Harry's eighteen and a Manchester United obsessive, he will correct you on the score if you're wrong. George is fourteen and rates every campsite by its swimming pool. They're collectively "the boys," and that hasn't changed since the youngest was three.
Meet the Radfords.
Five of us, one van, nineteen years of nobody murdering each other.
