Motorhome manufacturer
We ordered the XL Family on a coach build in late 2025, Dethleffs are a German family-run manufacturer and the build quality shows. Proper family layout, auto gearbox, and it replaces our van after four years and a lot of European miles. The Grand Alpa has been the dream retirement van since we first saw one at a show, so getting into the Dethleffs range feels like the right direction of travel. Ordered in late 2025, took delivery in March 2026.

VB Air Suspension
Suspension
One of our favourite upgrades to our most recent motorhomes is full VB Air Suspension. In fact, we loved it so much in the Kon-Tiki 874 that it was one of the first upgrades we added to the Dethleffs XL Family. The difference between a factory setup and a properly tuned air suspension is significant: much more level on uneven pitches, and the ride quality on the road improves noticeably when the van is fully loaded.
