Sunday 25th - Monday 26th October 2020 The Henges! We left Thruxton Circuit and headed off in search of some of Britain's ancient and mysterious sights around Avebury. It's was time to give the boys a History Lesson. Our first stop was Silbury Hill where George learned about how the Romans had used Silbury Hill to build a wooden fort a couple of thousand years AFTER it was originally built! From there we explored the Avebury Village and the largest Stone circles in the world, before heading to our FREE wild campsite at our final stop Stonehenge. Did you know you can camp at Stonehenge for up to 72 hours completely free? We slept so well, and woke up to the most magical sun rise. What a magical place! In this video Steve gives directions to this incredible free camp spot.
